In Fallout Shelter, a world full of post-nuclear wasteland atmosphere, residents are the most valuable wealth of the shelter! Whether it is producing resources, operating facilities, or resisting foreign enemies, this group of “workers” is indispensable. Are you still worried about the deserted shelter and the inability to keep up with resource production? Don’t panic! Today, I will share with you the “people-pulling tips” I have hidden, and teach you how to create a lively and prosperous wasteland utopia!
Cast a wide net! Recover survivors from the wasteland
1. Exploration team attacks
Every time you see the wasteland outside the shelter, don’t just think about the danger there! Send residents out to explore. In addition to looting bottle caps and weapons, you can also “pick up” new partners! Remember to choose residents with high charm as captains. After all, only people who are good at speaking can coax wandering survivors into the shelter. Before setting off, fill them with weapons and treatment needles – the mutant cockroaches in the wasteland are blind, and only by returning alive can you have a chance to recruit new people!
I was lucky once and sent Kate with a charm value of 9 out, and she brought back 3 survivors in one trip! Now those friends are working hard at the power station. As expected, the “diplomatic master” is out, one is worth three!
2. Broadcasting room “Yelling”
Building a broadcasting room is like opening a “talent market”! Upgrading the broadcasting room will allow the signal to travel farther, and more people will naturally come to join after hearing the shouting. But don’t turn on the broadcast blindly, wait until the resources are stockpiled and new beds are vacated in the dormitory before starting, otherwise people will come and have no place to stay, how embarrassing?
I once accidentally turned on the broadcast in advance, and a lot of people came. In the end, I could only watch them leave because they had no place to stay. I was so sad about my broadcast cooling time! Later, I learned to be smart and count the resources before each broadcast, and it was done!
Be self-reliant! Internal residents’ “baby-making plan”
1. Yuexia Laoren’s big battle
Throw a man and a woman into the dormitory, and leave the rest to time and fate! However, pairing is also a science. Try to match a strong man with an agile girl, and the attributes of the baby born may be “cheating” directly! And remember to arrange more double activities for them, such as going to the restaurant to eat together, so that the relationship will warm up faster~
My “best CP” Warren and Nora, since they moved into the luxury double dormitory, heard the good news within a few hours! Now their babies have become the main force of the power station, and the old mother sheds tears of relief.
2. Control the rhythm of birth
Although there is strength in numbers, don’t make everyone pregnant at once! Imagine if all pregnant women go on strike at the same time, resource production would stop directly, and no one could take the lead when foreign enemies came! It is recommended to arrange births in batches, such as letting Group A residents make babies this month, and then switch to Group B next month to ensure that both production and childcare are not missed.
Freeloaders are ecstatic! Mission rewards are worth it
1. Don’t miss the main and side quests
Taking missions is not only about advancing the plot, but also a good opportunity to expand the population! Some side quests have super generous rewards, and you can get new residents by completing them. Last time, I took a mission to escort a merchant. As soon as the mission was over, the merchant decided to stay in the shelter as a chef. Now the kitchen efficiency has doubled!
Remember to equip the team before doing the mission. Don’t fail the mission just to save resources. That would be a waste of time!
2. Go for the event season
The limited-time events and seasons in the game are a good time to get the most out of it! Participate in survival challenges and resource battles. As long as you reach your goals, new residents will be delivered to your door! In last year’s “Wasteland Carnival Season” event, I relied on my ranking to take down 3 high-attribute residents in one go and took off directly!
Remember to set goals in advance, plan resources, and spend some money on small gift packs at critical moments to increase your success rate!
Metaphysics help! Pet props to help
1. Pet hidden skills
Don’t underestimate pets! Some pets have their own “people-pulling buffs”, such as the lucky cat. When residents come back from exploration, there is a chance that they will bring an extra survivor! My lucky cat is super awesome. It has helped me “pick up” residents for free several times. Now it has become the “mascot” of the shelter!
Raise a few more pets and take them out in turn. Maybe one day you will trigger a surprise!
2. Prop exchange method
From time to time, “resident exchange” will be displayed in the store. You can exchange it for bottle caps or special props! Usually, you can stock up more resources and act decisively when you see the residents you like. Last time, I exchanged a high-IQ scientist for the bottle caps I had saved for a long time. Now the research speed of the laboratory is flying!
Build a “five-star” shelter
1. Maximize the quality of life
Who doesn’t want to live in a place with good conditions? Ensure sufficient electricity, food, and water, and build a few bars and game rooms. When the residents are in a good mood, they will naturally be willing to stay and will also recommend it to other survivors crazily!
I installed an advanced lighting system and a green wall in the shelter. Now the residents’ satisfaction has skyrocketed. Even people from the neighboring shelter want to come and take refuge!
2. Sense of security
Build a bunch of turrets, equip the residents with weapons, and turn the shelter into an iron barrel! When foreign enemies come, they can be directly suppressed by firepower. Who can refuse such a sense of security? Last time a group of super mutants came to make trouble, they were beaten and fled by our defense system. After this battle, there were obviously more survivors who came here for our reputation!
Master these secrets, and your shelter will soon be overcrowded! Remember to flexibly adjust the strategy according to the actual situation. Focus on the corresponding method according to the type of residents you lack. If you have any interesting things in the process of pulling people or digging up new skills, please share them in the comment area. Let’s make the shelter bigger and stronger together!
